All Dane County towns benefit by working together to explore new ideas, improve our systems and address common issues.  To this end DCTA:

Advocates for town government

Tracks local government initiatives in Dane County

Elevates issues at both the State and County level

Responds to town concerns and provide a forum to discuss common issues

Sponsors listening sessions with county staff and local officials

Provides educational programming

Serves as a resource for Dane County towns for planning

Solicits applications/conducts interviews/appoints or nominates representatives for:

• Dane County Lake and Watershed Commission
• Capital Area Regional Plan Commission every year
• DaneCom Governing Board (911 system)
• Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District/representing Towns in this District
• Dane County Broadband Task Force
