DCTA was asked for information on town clerk compensation.  This request resulted in a survey of compensation for clerks, town boards and plan commissioners.  Thank you to the 31 towns (out of 33 towns in Dane County) that completed the survey.

The survey, conducted from February to June 2020, is presented in two documents.  The 2020 Town Compensation Survey Summary compares town information and presents data in a chart and graph format.  It also importantly notes that it is hard to fully compare clerk salaries as job responsibilities differ and the survey did not define part time hours.  The Survey Data document presents the survey results in a table format.  It is sorted by part time versus full time and then by town population.
